BUCK is a software facilitating generation of locally reliable timber yield tables in either a hard-copy format printed on a computer printer, or in an electronic format (a text file). Timber yield is understood as a timber product of sizes (lengths and diameters of logs or poles) specified by the software's user. The term "local" refers to a region small enough to assure relatively uniform species-specific relationship between a tree stem profile and its slenderness.
BUCK facilitates obtaining reliable yield tables. It applies the newest achievements in stem profile modelling and takes advantage of the ability of the computers to perform sophisticated calculations instantly.
BUCK provides timber volume estimates (inside- or outside-bark) either in imperial or metric system of measure.
